Description
This is a polished cut cross-section of Red Crazy Lace Agate showing pronounced wavy, concentric-to-wavy banding in strong orange, red-brown, cream, grey and black zones. The cut face is smooth and displays the banding clearly; the outer edges remain irregular and natural with a few small pits and cavities visible. It is supplied mounted on a clear display stand. The slice measures 8.4 × 10.5 × 1.5 cm and weighs 256 g. The polish emphasises the layered banding and colour contrasts across the surface while the irregular perimeter preserves the specimen’s natural outline. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), and crazy lace varieties are known for their complex, wavy band patterns; this piece is a representative polished slice from Indonesia that illustrates those characteristic bands.
