Description
This polished Blue Lace Agate freeform shows delicate pale blue–grey banding encircling a central hollow cavity lined with sparkly drusy crystals. The main face is smoothly polished to reveal the banding and translucent edges, while the cavity retains its natural crystalline interior. The specimen measures 6 × 4.5 × 4 cm and weighs 223 g. The base is left natural and rough, providing a contrast to the polished front; translucent, banded edges are visible around the perimeter and the drusy cavity provides a glittering focal point. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) and commonly forms in cavities and fractures, where drusy quartz linings are often found. This example combines a polished display face with a preserved natural cavity, showing both internal banding and crystalline texture.
