Description
This is a polished heart‑shaped cabochon of pink amethyst and flower agate, showing a pale peach–beige body that ranges from translucent to semi‑translucent. The surface is smooth and glossy, with scattered rounded orbicular or floral‑like patches in pink, cream, white and yellow‑orange across the face. The piece measures about 5 × 4.5 × 1 cm and weighs 53 g. The heart form is fully polished and presents the orbicular patterns clearly against the softer background tone. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2); in this specimen the material pink amethyst alongside flower agate, a banded and orbicular chalcedony‑type material commonly seen from Madagascar. This gives the cabochon both the quartz classification and the characteristic floral‑like orbicules associated with flower agate.
