Description

This polished heart is made from pink amethyst and flower agate, showing warm amber, orange, brown and cream tones across a smooth surface. A banded rim frames the piece and translucent areas catch the light, while the central texture is bubbly or orbicular in appearance. The piece measures 7 × 8 × 1 cm and weighs 108 g. The surface is fully polished; the heart shape is thin and tactile, with the orbicular centre providing a distinct textural contrast to the surrounding bands. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2), and agate is a microcrystalline form of the same mineral group; flower agates typically show rounded, orb-like concentrics set within translucent chalcedony. This specimen comes from Madagascar.
