This polished Red Crazy Lace Agate slab shows pronounced wavy banding across a flat, face in cream, tan, grey, black and orange‑red tones. The slab is elongated and slightly curved, cut and polished to reveal the striking, lace‑like banding pattern. Measuring 8 × 13 × 1 cm and weighing 191 g, the piece retains an irregular rough outer rind around the edges and is shown on a clear acrylic stand. The polished surface makes the layered bands and subtle colour transitions immediately visible while the thin slab format emphasises the patterning. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz); this specimen’s banded appearance is characteristic of that group and of the trade term “crazy lace” for agates with intricate, wavy band patterns.
