Description
This polished labradorite freeform shows a strong blue–gold iridescent flash across the face, visible from multiple angles. The piece has a broad rectangular outline with gently rounded edges and a smooth glossy finish; dark diagonal bands and fine internal line textures are visible beneath the polish. Measuring H 10 cm × W 13.5 cm × D 5 cm and weighing 1903 g, the stone is freestanding and finished on both sides to display flash. The surface polish and internal lamellar structure produce the vivid sheen that characterises this specimen. Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar noted for labradorescence, an optical effect caused by light interacting with fine internal layers; examples from Madagascar commonly show strong multi‑coloured flashes.
