Description

This polished heart-shaped cabochon is composed of pink amethyst and flower agate, showing soft pink–grey, white and beige tones across a smooth, rounded surface. One side contains a small sparkling drusy cavity that contrasts with the otherwise milky, translucent areas. The piece measures 4.5 × 5.5 × 0.5 cm and weighs 41 g. Its outline is cabochon-like with a finely polished finish and even, gently rounded edges. Colour distribution ranges from translucent milky patches to more opaque beige and pink-grey zones. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2), and flower agate is a banded, often mottled form of chalcedony commonly seen in polished ornamentals from Madagascar. This specimen combines those materials in a compact, polished heart form that highlights both the drusy cavity and the softer, translucent areas.
