Description

This polished heart combines pink amethyst with flower agate in a slim, slightly pointed shape. The surface is glossy from polishing and the body ranges from pale pinkish‑grey to smoky grey, with cream and white branching internal patterns and scattered orange‑brown spots visible through the semi‑translucent material. Measuring 6.5 × 7.5 × 1 cm and weighing 119 g, the piece has slightly uneven, natural‑looking edges and a definite lower point to complete the heart form. The polish brings out the internal patterning while preserving the specimen’s subtle colour variations and scattered darker spots. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz and is commonly found alongside agate varieties in Madagascar; these materials are chalcedonic and quartzose in composition, so polished pieces typically show translucent to semi‑translucent interiors and crisp internal banding or patterning.
