Description
This polished freeform is pink amethyst and flower agate from Madagascar, presented as an elongated oval with a glossy, rounded surface. The body colour is predominantly reddish‑brown with scattered cream‑to‑white cloudlike and orbicular patches; a few translucent zones and light internal veining/banding are visible. The piece measures 5.7 × 3.9 × 1.0 cm and weighs 63 g. The surface is smoothly polished and shown held for scale. The combination of orbicular patches and clouded areas gives a distinctive, mottled appearance across the freeform. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2), and flower agate is a banded, orbicular form often associated with silica‑rich environments; both materials are commonly found in Madagascar. This specimen illustrates those textural and colour contrasts in a compact, polished freeform.
