Pink amethyst & flower agate cabochon, Madagascar — 39 g

Description

This is a polished oval cabochon of pink amethyst and flower agate from Madagascar, finished with a smooth domed polish and rounded edges. The surface is intact in the photograph. Beneath the polish the interior shows a pale grey‑lavender to milky white mottle with cream to white rounded patchy areas and a darker central recessed zone, giving subtle internal banding and contrast. The piece measures 5.5 × 3.5 × 0.8 cm and weighs 39 g. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2), and flower agate is a common trade name for agate material showing rounded, flower‑like patching; both occur in Madagascar in a range of polished cabochon material.
