Description
This tall, narrow Wenshan calcite presents an irregular broken outline with a warm orange‑brown drusy coating across the main face. Several pale cream to lightly translucent crystal clusters run vertically down the face; the individual crystals show a soft lustre. The specimen measures H 15 cm × W 7 cm × D 7 cm and weighs 495 g. It is mounted on a clear display stand and retains the irregular, broken morphology noted along its edges. Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and commonly forms a wide range of crystal habits and drusy coatings in deposit settings. The colour contrast between the orange‑brown drusy layer and the paler crystal clusters is a characteristic visual feature of this Wenshan specimen.
