Description
This is a compact cluster of Wenshan calcite in pale yellow to honey tones, formed from numerous translucent, stubby prismatic to bladed crystals that assemble into a flower‑like aggregate. A light‑coloured base is visible beneath the crystal grouping and the piece is shown on a clear acrylic stand. The specimen measures 5 × 4 × 4 cm and weighs 39 g. Surfaces display the stacked, bladed/prismatic crystal habit described and the cluster is visually cohesive noted in the provided images. Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and is common in a wide range of sedimentary, metamorphic and hydrothermal settings; Wenshan, China is a recognised source of calcite specimens with similar pale yellow to honey colouration.
