Description
This specimen is a cream to pale-yellow Wenshan calcite cluster with a branching, feathery, open habit. The aggregate is airy and slightly translucent to milky in places, with the branching crystals forming a delicate, clustered appearance. It is supplied mounted on a clear stand. Measuring 14 × 6 × 6 cm and weighing 563 g, the piece shows the pale, creamy tones and thin, radiating growth typical of feathery calcite aggregates. Surfaces appear smooth and the overall cluster is lightweight for its size thanks to its open structure. Wenshan, China, is a known locality for a variety of calcite habits, and this example sits within that broader context.
