Description
This handheld specimen combines pink rhodochrosite with pale green fluorite and small pyrite speckling across a rough, granular crystalline surface. A small open cavity or pocket is visible near the upper right–centre of the specimen. Measuring 7 × 5 × 4 cm and weighing 249 g, the piece shows irregular edges and areas of white translucent material among the coloured crystals. The three minerals are present together on the same specimen and the overall surface texture is coarse rather than polished. Fluorite is a calcium fluoride (CaF2) that commonly forms cubic crystals and can show fluorescence under ultraviolet light, though UV behaviour varies between individual specimens. Rhodochrosite is typically recognised by its pink tones; pyrite appears here as small dark or metallic speckling.
