Description
This specimen is pale, translucent-to-milky quartz displaying a sparkly drusy surface across an irregular natural face. Scattered over that surface are dark green to black bladed or needle‑like crystal clusters identified as epidote, giving strong textural contrast against the quartz. The piece measures 11 × 11 × 2 cm and weighs 332 g; it sits on a clear acrylic display stand in the photographs. Edges and the main face are rough and natural, with the epidote occurring as scattered, blade‑like clusters rather than a continuous coating. Quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO2) and commonly appears as translucent-to-milky material; epidote typically forms elongate, prismatic or bladed crystals. The recorded locality is Hongquizhen Quarry, Sichuan Province.
