Description
This compact Amethyst specimen presents a densely drusy front face of dark purple, sparkling crystals sitting on a roughly triangular, blocky host. The drusy surface is continuous across the front, while the sides show lighter grey to clear edging that frames the purple face. Measuring 6.5 × 4 × 4.5 cm and weighing 131 g, the piece is a small, self-contained block with good surface coverage of small amethyst crystals. No other treatments or internal features are described. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2); quartz commonly forms drusy coatings and cavity-hosted crystal groups in many Brazilian occurrences, making this a straightforward example of that habit.
