Description
This is a 62 g cluster of mostly translucent to transparent quartz from Hongquizhen Quarry in Sichuan Province. The aggregate is irregular and tightly intergrown, showing pale to smoky‑grey areas and glassy crystal faces with scattered green and brown patches across the surface. The piece measures 7 × 3 × 2 cm and sits neatly on a clear stand. Edges appear natural and rough rather than trimmed, and the overall habit is a compact cluster of intergrown crystals rather than isolated single points. Quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO2) and commonly forms prismatic crystals with pointed terminations; specimens from Sichuan frequently show pale to smoky tones and surface coatings or colouration from associated minerals.
