Description
This rough specimen features a pale to colourless quartz base with a sparkly drusy surface and abundant dark green, elongated epidote aggregates scattered across its uneven, jagged faces. The crystals form an irregular, textured surface rather than distinct isolated points. Measuring 9 × 9.5 × 2 cm and weighing 227 g, the piece retains its jagged outline and shows areas where the epidote is opaque to slightly translucent against the drusy quartz. There is no overall polish; the surface presents the original broken and crystalline textures. Quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO2) and commonly forms drusy coatings in hydrothermal and vein settings; epidote is a common green silicate that often occurs as elongated crystal aggregates. This example pairs both minerals visibly and plainly, illustrating typical contrasts between pale quartz druse and darker green epidote.
