Description
A thin rabbit-fur fluorite slice from Inner Mongolia showing delicate scoellite feathering within the body and a clear band of pyrite inclusions across the piece. The specimen measures H 13 × W 7 × D 1 cm and weighs 307 g; light transmitted through the slice emphasises its colour and internal textures.
Mineral context
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2) and commonly forms cubic crystals. Many fluorite specimens fluoresce under ultraviolet light, although UV behaviour varies between specimens.
