Description
This palm-sized cabochon is polished from pink amethyst and flower agate, presenting soft pale pink–lavender tones with areas that range from to semi‑transparent. The piece has a rounded, polished top and a smooth flat face; the surface shows internal crystalline texture rather than a uniform mirror polish. A yellow‑brown zone runs along one side of the stone. The specimen measures 6 × 4 × 1 cm and weighs 81 g. The finish preserves visible internal structure beneath the polish, and there is no claim of damage. Origin is Madagascar. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2), and flower agate is an agatised form often seen alongside quartz varieties in Madagascan material; this note is intended as general context rather than a statement about microscopic features of this individual cabochon.
