Description
This is a polished freeform Black Moss Agate cabochon showing a translucent pale grey chalcedony body with several dark oval, eye‑like patterns across the face. The polished surface is highly glossy and reflective, and several of the ovals show cream-to-honey coloured centres visible through the stone. The piece is an irregular freeform with natural-looking edges around the polished face and measures 3.0 × 2.0 × 0.4 cm, weighing 5 g. The overall appearance is defined by the multiple eye-like markings set against the pale host, and the thin profile preserves those internal patterns when viewed against light. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), and specimens like this commonly show patterned inclusions and colour zoning within a translucent to semi-translucent matrix. This example illustrates those typical internal contrasts while retaining a smooth, polished finish.
