Description
This flat, irregular 89 g cluster is composed of pale translucent to milky quartz with dense coverage of dark green epidote across much of the surface. The epidote appears as bladed-to-flaky and granular aggregates, producing a strongly textured surface with scattered brownish earthy staining and some rough edges. Measured at 7 × 7 × 1.5 cm and shown on an acrylic stand, the piece displays partly translucent quartz areas with bright glassy reflections alongside the darker, matte-to-satiny epidote aggregates. The overall habit is a low, cluster-like plate rather than individual prismatic crystals, and the surface shows mixed textures from finely bladed to granular epidote growth. Quartz is silicon dioxide (SiO2) and commonly occurs with a range of accessory minerals in hydrothermal and metamorphic settings; epidote is a common calcium-aluminium iron sorosilicate that often forms green, bladed or granular aggregates alongside quartz in such environments.
