Description
This is a hand-sized cluster of pale green to colourless translucent Fluorite from Xianghualing, China. The crystals show a blocky, square‑faced habit across many visible faces and are intergrown to create a rough, sparkly surface with no single dominant termination apparent. The piece measures 9 × 6.5 × 4.5 cm and weighs 206 g. Yellow‑brown earthy material is present on and between some crystals, visible across the cluster. The overall impression is of many small, blocky crystal faces packed together rather than a single large, isolated cube. Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2) and commonly forms cubic or blocky crystals; many specimens from this region show pale green colours and translucent clarity. UV fluorescence can vary between fluorite specimens and is not guaranteed for every piece.
