Description
This pale cream to translucent calcite cluster shows prismatic to blocky crystal habit with several pointed terminations visible across the group. Iron-stained areas and tan spotting mark parts of the surfaces, and the specimen is presented on a clear acrylic display stand. The cluster measures 13 × 8 × 7 cm and weighs 263 g. Surfaces range from translucent to more opaque cream tones, and the overall form is an aggregate of multiple crystals rather than a single isolated crystal. No additional minerals are specified. Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and commonly forms a wide variety of crystal habits and aggregates; specimens from China frequently show the pale, cream-to-translucent colour range seen here.
