Description
This small wedge-shaped Amethyst cluster displays a dense drusy coating of purple-to-lavender quartz crystals, with a noticeably darker central area grading to paler tones at the edges. The specimen retains an irregular natural outer edge and an intact visible crystal coating across the triangular-to-wedge outline. Measuring 8 × 7 × 4 cm and weighing 224 g, the piece is compact and pocketable. The surface is densely encrusted with fine crystal points that catch the light, and the overall form is a clear triangular/wedge shape rather than a rounded geode. Origin is Brazil. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2) and commonly forms drusy and crystal-lined surfaces in cavities and seams. This specimen illustrates that familiar habit with its fine, colour-zoned drusy surface.
