Description
This Blue Lace Agate presents a tapered, pointed top above a broader, irregular base, with pale blue–grey colouring and subtle banding concentrated toward the lower portion. The piece weighs 123 g and measures 6.5 × 4 × 3 cm. Surface texture is mostly rough and matte with slight sparkle and natural uneven edges; the banding is visible rather than pronounced. The form is a single, tapered point rather than a fashioned or fully item. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz), and specimens from Namibia are often collected as attractive cut-and-pieces or natural-cut points. This example is presented in its natural-texture state with the visible pale banding and tapering that characterise many lace agate specimens.
