Description
Nice specimen of blue‑green fluorite presenting clear cubic forms clustered above a quartz matrix, accompanied by bladed calcite. The piece stands 15 cm tall and weighs 243 g, with the fluorite providing the principal visual interest and the calcite adding linear contrast.
the fluorite is UV reactive while the calcite shows an orange response; the quartz matrix adds small sparkling reflections under normal light.
Mineral context
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2) and commonly forms cubic crystals. Calcite is calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and occurs in many sedimentary, metamorphic and hydrothermal settings.
