Description
This is a pale blue Blue Lace Agate fragment from Namibia with an irregular, angular outline and a natural, uneven surface. The piece is mostly opaque with slight translucency where the material thins, and one side shows a narrow tan-brown rind or matrix. Measuring 10 × 4.5 × 3 cm, the fragment has a raw, unpolished appearance and retains natural surface texture rather than cut or faceted faces. The colour is a soft, even pale blue across the main body; translucency is confined to the thinner edges. There is on the photographed surfaces. Agate is a banded form of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz); specimens from Namibia are often appreciated for their soft tones and banding textures, though no specific banding is claimed for this fragment beyond its pale blue character.
