Description
This dense Amethyst cluster shows drusy crystal surfaces with a clear band of white-to-clear material at the outer margin and internal lilac-to-deep-violet zoning. The cluster presents a compact crystal array rather than isolated large points, with visible small crystal faces across the druse. Measuring 10 × 7 × 7 cm and weighing 865 g, the specimen is a solid, palm-sized piece of Brazilian amethyst. The colour zoning ranges from pale lilac to deeper violet toward the interior, and the outer margin is notably paler and near-clear to white, creating a pleasing contrast across the cluster. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2) and commonly forms drusy and botryoidal crystal surfaces in cavities and vugs.
