Description
This specimen is a clustered block of purple fluorite showing pale lavender to colourless, translucent to semi‑transparent blocky crystals with multiple flat faces and stepped surfaces. Several crystal faces show bright glassy lustre in places, and the group sits on a rough tan, cream and rusty‑brown rocky matrix. The piece measures 14 × 10.5 × 3 cm and weighs 680 g; it is shown on a small clear stand. Crystals display a range from pale lavender through near‑colourless and retain crisp blocky habits with stepped growth visible on some faces. Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2) and commonly forms cubic or blocky crystals; many specimens can show fluorescence under ultraviolet light, though UV behaviour varies between individual pieces.
