Description
This compact Amethyst nodule presents a rounded, geode-like form with a cavity densely lined by purple quartz crystals. Crystal colour ranges from light lavender to deep purple, with some translucent areas and numerous small faceted crystal faces visible across the interior surface. The exterior shows a rough natural rind. Measuring 6.5 × 5 × 5 cm and weighing 184 g, the piece is a tidy, self-contained example of amethyst in nodule form. The interior cavity is closely packed with small crystal points and displays noticeable colour zoning from paler to deeper purple tones. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2) and commonly forms in cavities and geodes, producing the crystal-lined interiors seen here. This specimen’s Brazilian origin is recorded alongside its material as Amethyst.
