Description
This polished Blue Lace Agate slab presents soft blue–grey and white concentric banding with a central open cavity revealing a fine, sparkling druzy lining. The outer faces are smoothly polished while the cavity interior remains crystalline and natural in appearance. The specimen stands upright in a freeform shape and measures 7 × 3.5 × 2.5 cm, weighing 101 g. The contrast between the polished exterior bands and the natural druzy pocket gives a clear sense of the agate’s internal layering and cavity structure. Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz (SiO2), and commonly forms with internal cavities that may develop drusy crystal linings. The Namibia origin situates this piece within a region known for banded agates.
