Description
This is a single elongated Tourmaline crystal from Pakistan, presented upright on a clear acrylic display stand. The crystal is dark and slender with pronounced vertical striations; a blocky, sugary white to off‑white material clings to the sides and top while the rounded base is beige. The specimen measures 4.5 × 2 × 2 cm and weighs 22 g. The contrast between the dark striated prism and the pale, granular matrix is a clear visual feature; the matrix adheres around the crystal rather than forming a separate slab. There is no additional surface treatment. Tourmaline is a borosilicate mineral group that commonly forms elongated prismatic crystals, a characteristic reflected in this specimen’s habit. Pakistan is a known source of tourmaline varieties, where such slender, striated prisms frequently occur alongside pale pegmatitic matrix materials.
