Description
This large sugar fluorite aggregate presents a blocky, layered form with a prominent protruding arm on the right and multiple shallow cavities across its surface. The dark grey core is largely covered by pale greenish‑white surface growths that produce a rough, sparkly drusy texture visible across the specimen. Measuring 18 × 16 × 7 cm and weighing 1,471 g, the piece is an irregular, three‑dimensional mass rather than isolated crystals, with small recesses and a generally granular, sugary surface character. Origin is Fujian, China. Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF2) and commonly forms cubic crystals; many examples from varied localities can show drusy or sugary habit where small crystalline faces produce a sparkly surface.
