Description
This hand-sized Amethyst cluster shows a band of deeper violet crystals concentrated along one edge, contrasting with a darker gray–lilac crystalline surface elsewhere. Surfaces display a sparkling drusy texture with partly translucent, bright reflective crystal faces. The specimen measures H 6 cm × W 5 cm × D 4.5 cm and weighs 151 g. Form is irregular and natural-looking, with no enlargement of locality beyond the confirmed origin of Brazil. Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz (SiO2) and commonly forms crystalline druses and clusters in cavities and veins. This piece illustrates those typical quartz habits while retaining the specific visual features noted above.
